My knowledge of biology is nil, but I googled the following. Please check me.

A human body has appx 30 trillion cells.
Cells (assuming all) contain 23 pairs of chromosomes.
One of those 23 pairs differentiate males from females.
XX for female XY for male

So, consider this...someone has 30 trillion cells containing chromosomes that dictate female gender, yet there are people selling the idea that you can hang a wang on Janet...and all of a sudden Janet is Jack. Or Janet can just say she is Jack and that's that.

Can someone, who subscribes to the notion that gender is a personal discretion, explain to me why I should disregard the above?
