Exactly. AI will be the powerful tool/extension of whoever controls it.
Who is going to own and control these systems? What will regulate them? Who will oversee the regulations? How easily can the regulators be bought (e.g. SEC)?

A "for instance"...George Soros is repeatedly spending big money financing DA candidates in "blue" municipalities. Who get into office and are essentially de-criminalizing crime. All in the name of the rights of the persecuted and so forth. But it makes no sense to decriminalize crime, because then the victims become innocent homeowners, business owner's and random citizens who are destroyed by the crime ...for the sake and benefit of the criminal. It is self destructive. Though far fetched...one has to wonder...is he paying big money to break society down so that he can be the guy that rushes in to restore his vision of order? ...with AI as a powerful centralization tool?

That's a conspiracy theory for certain. I don't assert it as a fact. I have no way of proving or disproving. But I can't help but wonder such things because it makes more sense than what is actually happening in law enforcement. There are people in power, in law enforcement, who see the world upside down and backwards. They have legions of drones who will vote for them without questioning anything that they do because of the jersey they wear and notwithstanding that they are also downgrading the lives of the drones themselves. Criminality is bad for everyone.

Impossible to understand and scary.
