There are many notable documents in the lineage of Western human freedoms. The Magna Carta is one. There are many which surely exist that I am not even aware of. My personal opinion is that the US Constitution is the greatest of all. I can think of no greater country than the US in the history of the world. I'm a admirer of Thomas Jefferson and George Washington and the other men who went forward with a revolution that realistically should have failed and ended up with them hanging. But fate wanted otherwise and delivered freedoms and inalienable rights in the form of a nation...but those freedoms began with thoughts.

Try this just for starters....google the US FOUNDING FATHERS + MONTESQUIEU + JOHN LOCKE, and then follow the trail from there.
