Yes anything mathematical will be done better by machines, no doubt about that. Poker players, the main thing that makes a great poker player is their ability to do mathematics in their head. That is the ONLY difference, you can learn everything else. You cant learn to be a great mathematician.

So it's not surprising to me that AI beats humans in logical thought and computations.

But to my earlier point, wouldn't it still be more impressive to other humans, to see another human who can do complex math in their head, as opposed to using a calculator or AI. Or, a human winning a spelling bee, strictly by what is in their head, and not having to search the internet for the answer?

Hey, people are so smart these days...or are they, no they just have information at their finger tips.

Still impressive to see somebody win on jeopardy, using nothing but their brain. That ain't going away.
