I mean, they can create songs without playing instruments, without singing, recording or writing lyrics. When the song is done, they can claim that they wrote everything even though they didn’t. It kind of reminds me of Milli Vanilli. Their songs were written, recorded and produced by Frank Farian. He earned the money, which in my opinion was fair. But the two guys that presented the songs in public were only dancers and had nothing to do with production of the songs. What if someone uses Udio to create (I’m not using the word “write”) a song that later gets covered and becomes a big hit? Who gets the royalties? Does every songwriter in the future have to prove somehow that they wrote the song themselves? Or, in other words … can anybody prove that a song was originally written by an AI application and not by a human? Will software experts collect songwriting royalties in the future? I guess the main question is, is an AI music expert a songwriter even if he has no knowledge of music/songwriting?

You do the same exact thing. How are you a Songwriter if you copy and paste toontrack piano parts into a song? You didn't write that, you copy and dragged it. You do the same with drums, you dint know what you're doing on drums drag in a beat, every thing you used is pre packaged music. You have to hope they have something that fits.

Maybe you edit a bit

The singer is a woman, kinda weird too

But you shouldn't be wondering how people can call themselves songwriters you are if anything a producer, engineer perhaps.

Don't be talking about royalties, 2000 people can all use the same piano in toontrack

What your doing is no different than ai, and those generic bits are nothing to be claiming.

What's left your lyric and melody ...

I won't go there
