I must confess that I also have not heard McCartney's symphony but I just thought it was pretty impressive that someone with no ability to read or write music could create one, even if it's not all that great.

I don't know if this is a valid analogy but some of the smartest people I've known didn't finish high school and some of the dumbest had college degrees. That may be the exception rather than the rule but it does make for some interesting possibilities.

Of course, in the end, it's still just my opinion about who is dumb or smart so what do I know?
