Most lyric writers do not feel the need to learn an instrument....at least that was the general concensus when this subject was brought up on a previous thread... I as usual got into hot water for saying that all songwriters should learn all aspects of songwriting including playing music theory and recording etc..makes sense to me but hey some people feel different.
