I have seen some songs come to life here that never would have existed had it not been for a collab between a lyricist and a musician. Some of these songs have continued to live in my head. Lyricist Glynda Duncan and singer/musician Heather Cowles "Step to the Side" is one such song, lyricist Janet Snow's RISE (recently redone by a male singer who is fabulous) is another. Lyricist Kimberly Himes and singer/musician Naomisue's "Take My Hand", my absolute favorite, lyrics by Calvin Stewart, music by Mark Kaufman, "Catwalk Candy", to me, is a masterpiece! There are many more songs, it would take too long to mention them all, but what impressed me most about this site and the result of the collabs was the caliber of talent here, both lyricists and musicians! Some outstanding stuff that no one would have ever heard were it not for people working as a team and building on eachother's strengths. Everyone, the audience included, gets a great satisfaction from these creations. To me, they're successful already. smile
