I do see and understand your point of view Martin. Yes you do extra work, in that sense, but its because you have chosen to become THE PRODUCER of the finished demo.

Some of us get a guitar/vocal melody from the composer, then if we agree (lyric writer and melody writer) we send it to have a demo made and we share the costs.

Often/ in most cases the composer will want to do the production himself. If he has the means and skills to do it, then that is fine. But it is his/her choice.

But I do understand what you mean and don't disagree with your POV.

Tammy isnt a good choice as she actually sings the lyrics and creates the most winderful melodys that way, without music. So you would already have that bit done.

Some musicians/composers with studios actually WANT TO WORK with great lyric writers. (never happened to me yet) lol.

Lets forget the 10 minute write a song thing.. you explained that well.

Of course thats true Martin and at times I am sure it's a struggle.

But I am sure that some writers write in a way where you the composer can instantly form a melody.

These are the lyric only writers that you may enjoy working with.

There are good and bad in both.
