I hope you did not take Brian's posts to be directed at you. In this case, you only posed a question. I certainly took no offense. To me, Brian stated things pretty well and I agree with his sentiment that we should not attempt to force others to follow our pathway. There are some great comments on this thread and I won't get started naming names. Some are quite touching yet brave. (They say that confession is good for the soul... LOL!)

To me, no matter the endeavor or direction, the biggest failure of all is never trying. Life is not perfect and it requires way to many compromises... but to me, music is a release from the bonds imposed upon us by society and duty. For at least a few moments, after our song is written and recorded, we can soar to the heavens and imagine success.
