Hi Big Jim.
Bernie may be a good musician, but on no album he put out or was part of did he do anything other that speak (his "poetry" albums) or sing. He has no instrument credits on anything he put out.
You can, as they say, look it up. I did before I posted my remark
Now I'm not saying that I think people who aspire to writing lyrics should not play an instrument or understand music. I'm only saying there is room for all kinds.
If writing ever becomes work I think I'm going to have to stop
