That’s the approach I take as well, Joice Marie. smile

All about choice and personal responsibility. At this stage in my life I choose not to try learning to play an instrument. I prefer to remain focused on what I do reasonably well, and on – I hope – also helping others to do this reasonably well.

Actually, I’ve come a long way over the past 2.5 years. I take a more active role in the music production by creating melodies, and have lost my embarrassment about singing and posting my A Cappella vocal guides either on forums or to individual composers. I’d never have dreamed of doing that 3 years ago. grin I’m also making a point of singing more often, with the intention of strengthening my voice – which is also an instrument wink - so that it will gradually improve. I'm even considering singing lessons in the New Year.

As I see it, It’s about learning, growing, and doing what we feel comfortable with at any given time.

If I were beginning my life over – and had the choices I didn’t have as a kid, an adolescent, or a young adult – I’d certainly try to learn guitar or piano.
Maybe I’ll re-think this in 10 years time. But for the moment? Nah. laugh
