I was surprised at Pia's departure. Midnite, I agree with your "take" on her performances though. Great vocals but little entertainment factor. The Gwen Stefano "outfit" probably caused the teeny boppers to gag and thus not vote for her.

My primary complaint with "IDOL" is the miserable talent thus far displayed by the guest artists. Is that all they can dig up? Surely, there are better performers available. JPF could provide better sounding stuff than these nearly naked, gyrating fools crank out on "kickoff nights." I'll take music over noise any day.

Still, it's a better show this year... and the talent of this group of kids is impressive. I won't even attempt to pick the winner due to the flawed voting process.

Who's next to get the axe? Probably poor Stefano but I think he's alot better than he sometimes appears. Yep, it's a very interesting show this year.
