I also thought Casey showed some potential with Jack Black as someone who could pull off a novelty act. With his current fame, he could probably pull it off with some good material. I could see him on a gig with his bass doing some comedy songs.
It looks like the tour will feature the female singers in "hooker-wear"( who can tell the difference these days?) and have the guys doing the montages and solos as they did last night. I was surprised that that didn't do any solo with Pia or use her to anchor a montage as they'd done in the past.
JLo got to do her imitation of a Ricky Martin dancer(La Vida Loca) in her husband's performance. Beyonce was her usual. Lady Gaga was her usual unusual. Frankly Gaga's head and shoulders above Beyonce in making musical theatre. Beyonce just has her slut-wear babes shakin' booty while she sings or was begging "make love to me" into the camera. Her act is so shallow. Haley did a nice duet with Tony Bennett, but growled too much in her other performances. I think a lot of the also-rans have lost alot of their "exposure benefit" already - kind like MAB's post earlier on this thread reminded us.
