The 04/27 performances were good for the most part. Here's my take:

1) James Durbin showed that he can sing as well as do the rock show. The best of the night - again. JLo's observation leads me to believe that this contest is now James' to lose as far as the judges are concerned.
2) Scotty has been boring me the past few weeks. However his solo and duet with Lauren showed that he still is willing to take calculated risks. He's a smart player for a 17 yr. old.
3) Casey wasn't quite up to Scotty's performance this week - but he was better than the gals and Jacob. His duet with Haley wasn't up to the Scotty/Lauren duet.
4) Lauren had one of her better performance nights - delivering on both the solo and duet. My bottom 3 for her - but she should be safe.
5) Jacob's singing continues to be consistantly good. He's a gifted performer - but not an American Idol. The theatre awaits his exit from AI.
6) Haley's really not at her competition's level. However, she's more popular than Jacob. So he'll make his exit tonight.
