1) Still, it sets a date....and how was the Torah edited? Seems to me that if any editing was done, it would be by those who came after Moses.
2) Actually, Muslims believe Mohammed is God's FINAL prophet before the end of times...while Jesus was one of a long line of prophets ...but very important to them.
3) I yield on your Hal Lindsey assertion...simply unimportant. The real point is the sheer number of those who had predicted the end of the world incorrectly...
