Maybe this will answer it. You are a lock-step. Your American messiah, Donny, cannot be harshly or critically criticized. He represents the forces of good beating back those of evil. In your mind, there are some messy edges to that, but it's essential truth is unquestionable. Trump IS the will of God.

Stepping back from that, some of us see an America that has devolved into decadence and factions that cannot tolerate each other's "cultures." Not just one side or the other, but pervasively, throughout all of society. As a result of chronic non-cohesiveness, the politicians that arise are firebrands, that will take the fight to the enemy CINOs. (citizens in name only)
Politicians who rise up in such conflicted circumstances are dubious and deceitful. If they were not, they would not rise up.

I'm gonna vote for Trump, but if I had a choice between Trump or BIden or Harris moving in next door to me...I'd build a tall fence with no gates in any case.
