I had been thinking about posting my own top 5 choices, plus a list of honorable mentions (and was thinking that other members might like to do the same). Do you think this level of unsolicited feedback is appropriate? And if so, where is the best place to post it? Here?

[QUOTE] It would be very interesting if at some point we could all find out what our total point ratings was. Perhaps this could be listed at the top of each song entry next to the song ID number or title after the votes are in! [END QUOTE]

I too would like to see how my song, and particular songs by others, did in the overall voting. I don't think the suggestion above is a good idea, because it could be publicly embarrassing for some, but how about this: make available a list of the songs IDENTIFIED BY NUMBER ONLY, ranked by number of votes.

Hi, MIke,
In response to point #1, I would prefer that we not post our top 5 favorites and critiques until AFTER the contest so as not to influence decisions based upon the critiques. IF,AFTER the contest, contestants wish to post their lyrics for critique on the feedback forums then that would be individual choice.
#2 It would be interesting after voting to find out where our lyric rated, in some way that was not too public or embarrassing and that Might stop new people from continuing to participate in JPF member boards. Perhaps, just standing for a top percentage, then we would know whether we rose to the top and were close contenders?

As for other comments regarding voting for oneself. I would prefer to leave that up to the membership to determine the top 5 and NOT vote for myself. Odds are, if our lyric is good enough to touch someone, it will receive some votes anyway, and, the judges have the final say. This is an industry of 'the right place, the right hook, the right time' I say, trust the process Jeannette
