No need to worry. We're way smarter than the cheaters! = ) Precautions have been made and cheaters will be easy to see. Nuff said.

I am more concerned with folks taking the time to read all the entries. I think this might start to give the folks around here a tiny taste of what it is like to sort through not 400-600 but 100,000 songs and try your best to discover the best ones. I think it is a very important lesson and experience that everyone who participates will truly benefit from. In fact, I think there may be more value and benefit to the group at large from the voting process than the entering and getting nominated or winning.

I have gotten a songwriting education that could have been obtained in no other way than to have listened to thousands and thousands of great and not so great writers and artists each year. It allows you to see things so much more clearly when you understand the sheer amount of polished (and not so polished) talent out there.

I really think those that carefully read through the entries will have gotten a gift they probably didn't expect from all this.
