Lauren Alaina “Where You Lead“
This, in my opinion, was her worst performance all season. She rushed her lines, seemed too concerned about staging the song and forgot to "sing" it. She has been coached to the point of ruin I guess. Where ever they are leading her, she is following right off the cliff.

Haley Reinhart and Casey Abrams “I Feel the Earth Move.”
A good song and these two work well together. If Jaylo isn't too jealous, I think they should marry and raise some baby base fiddles.

Scotty McCreery “You’ve Got A Friend“
He did much better than I thought he could and he continues to surprise me. Like him or not, he will be on the country charts very soon. I would love to pitch to him right now.

James Durbin “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow.”
It there was any question as to who has been dominating the past few weeks, it was settled last night when he sang a song that, coming from a guy, could have been a disaster. He can go from a near scream to a perfectly modulated tender phrase in a millisecond. After tonight, I don't see anyone stopping him.

Lauren Alaina and Scotty McCreery “Up On the Roof.”
This duet was the most pleasant of the night. Scotty's counter melody was very good, putting to rest any lingering suspicions that he is a "one trick pony".

Casey Abrams “Hi Dee Ho,”
I loved the Blood Sweat and Tears original. Casey is a musician's musician and it was evident last night. I think the pro's love working with him. He speaks their language. Does he speak the American Idol language? That's the question.

Haley Reinhart “Beautiful”
The judges seemed to think it was wonderful. I had to listen to it on YouTube to change my mind. It is hard to compress a 4 minute song into 2 minutes and that is what was bothering me about it on first listen. This song was written with arranged "movements" that don't lend themselves to compression. She killed the ending on this song. She moves in front of Lauren this week.

James Durbin and Jacob Lusk “Something Tells Me I’m Into Something Good.”
They should have decided who would sing harmony because neither did and it was boring. The only thing it proved was how much better James is that Jacob.

Predictions? I think Jacob goes. Everybody is getting closer to both the bottom and the top at this stage. Lauren deserves to be in the bottom three but I wouldn't predict it. Best to worst for me goes like this:

1 James Durbin
2 Casey Abrams
3 Haley Reinhart
4 Scotty McCreery
5 Lauren Alaina
6 Jacob Lusk

But I think the bottom three will probably be: Jacob, Casey and Haley. I think Lauren and Scottie's popularity are too high- and they do sound good together.
