No one talks about the congressional elections. The people can elect Micky Mouse as president but as long as we have an active congress and supreme court Micky can be relegated to a mere figure head. For example after the 94' "Republican revolution" Bill Clinton was rendered virtually powerless and his ideas were rejected by an overwhelming majority of congress. He vetoed the welfare reform bill three times before he was eventually backed into a corner to sign it. That bill was written by the congress and not him but he took credit for it. That's fine, I don't care who got the credit as long as it was passed. We have a constitution that insures checks and balances and the thought of one man being a supreme ruler that can bring about radical changes with no one to answer to is paranoid thinking. The term "Leader of the free world" is nothing more than words. Ben
