I have nothing against the people of America, and did not mean to suggest any criticism of them. I am aware, though not as well-informed as you seem to be, of their philanthropy. I am not aware of the beneficence you attach to our government. I see our government as wanting it all - all the resources, all the money, all the power - not to bequeath it to humanity, but to just have it for itself. It's the corruption and greed, varnished with a pretense of integrity, that causes me to come unglued.

I do not support military aggression, and hate the fact that our leaders are able to manipulate the populace so easily. I put it on par with raping a retarded girl.

I used to have no preconceptions regarding political party affiliation. But as I got older I noticed the people I found most unpleasant, more often than not, turned out to be Republicans. For the last fifteen or twenty years, Democrats have become more like Republicans. I see it as a sociological step backward.
