There's no chance they'll hold the employers responsible. They'd be afraid that some of their biggest donors would get busted for it. There are very few giant corporations who aren't either employing illegals or contracting with outside companies who are.

I realized that if the numbers of 18 million illegal Mexicans is actually correct, that 20% of the Mexican population is now living in the US. It's strangely similar to what broke the back of the Roman empire. They mate a fateful decision to let German immigrants in and those immigrants refused to learn the language or obey the laws and that disintegration led to the final collapse of the entire Roman empire. This is really just history repeating itself and there isn't a politician in either party that will actually stop it. So get used to it. It's not going to stop.
