Don't be too hard on Richard Brian.

Perceptions and beliefs are created based on how you meet up with circumstance time and place. Remember the story of the blind men and the elephant.

So from Richard's POV, all he perceives may be perfectly valid because that is how he understands the world.

Others, with different experiences, can disagree, but you cannot flat out say he's wrong.

Misinformed, inexperienced, ..perhaps....but not "wrong". That only makes someone dig their heels and say..no I'm not.

But you've made a good case to inform...perhaps Richard can incorporate that into what he believes and temper his viewpoint.

BTW, Sinclair died 11 years after he wrote that...not "shortly thereafter".
