Yeah, as long as weed is illegal, the police/courts/feds will be constantly skimming off the top of the dealers and incarcerating the users, while charging them exorbitant fees that the poor unfortunate tokers can't afford to pay because they were locked up and lost their jobs.
So many politicians at all levels of government have been pro-legalization, but have also been silenced before they could act on the issue. Obama said something to that effect, but does he have the support of anyone who has lots of money and power?
I sincerely hope that SOMEONE somewhere gets wise to that sh*t, and makes the necessary changes soon, regardless of how much it might hurt the judge's gambling/drinking/prostitution habits.
Non-smoker's paradise, they finally got what they wanted.....but if you think about it for once, the same money that we used to spend on a carton of cigarettes would be better spent on weed.
So goes the collective opinions of many, many people who have lived beyond the government's concentrated attempts to frighten everyone into believing that marijuana is the same as heroin.
Legalize it completely, and you'll see a great change in the way that people conduct themselves, a signinficant decrease in the use/abuse of other drugs, including alcohol, to some extent.
Tax it, just like everything else, and use the money for improving life for us common folks, who just so happen to have been supporting the whole thing to begin with.
