Okay, I have a rant. It's about the concept of HELP.

Most people have a "button" on help. They either don't want it even if they need it the most, or they feel you will betray them in the guise of help, or they will take a bit of help and then expect you to give them 24/7 help without letting up or else you become their enemy if you don't.

What a strange mechanism the concept of "help" has attached to it that would cause such drama!

I see examples hourly of people who are heading for major trouble but can't see the forest for the trees. And, it is exactly THAT "blindness" that needs to be addressed! But, they cannot see it because they are "blind."

It reminds of an episode of Kathy Griffin's "Life on the D List" where she decides to be like Oprah and go out and hand free money to women on the street just to do a good deed. Some people wouldn't take the money. Why? Because they didn't trust someone handing them free money!

It's frustrating when you know you have some answers that would truly make people's lives much easier, yet they don't even want to look at them. They'd rather just suffer because they can't even imagine anything better. It's like watching people walk off a cliff even though you are holding up a huge sign that says, "Don't go this way or you'll walk off a cliff." They do it anyway. And then they call me after they've broken all their limbs...
