Yep. Chicken Fried. It's masterfully written to the right crowd. Every. Single. Word. And when it goes into the bridge and starts singing about the U.S.A, military, oh my god. Brilliant. I hate the song but damn, the people who wrote that knew exactly how to write it so that it was one of the top songs of the year. So that it wouldn't be forgotten years from then. It was calculated.
I respect that talent. It's hard to come by.
Some people just have the gift and the pulse of a nation.
But god, I hate that song.
