LOL, Methinks you doth protest too much, sometimes. I think I said I thought it was clear, focused and easy to understand. You said it wasn't. Really not much common ground to work on there. I read over your points -- I just didn't think you were being serious. I just thought you were arguing for the sake of arguing. Did they move to the city and she took a different job (a lot like the first job)? I think so, but if they didn't it wouldn't make much of a difference to me.

... so, hes got a fast car,
what is the signifcance of a FAST car?
especially when they "wont have to drive too far"?...

Say remember when we were driving, driving in your car
Speeds so fast it felt like I was drunk
City lights lay out before us
And your arm felt nice wrapped 'round my shoulder
And I had a feeling that I belonged
I had a feeling I could be someone, be someone, be someone

That's the significance of the "Fast Car". If you can't understand that stanza, then just keep writing and stop analyzing.

Ok I can see that it comes late, but it shows that he HAS a fast car, not why she NEEDS one.

and the real problem is that all the events in the song happen, but they didnt leave.

shes talking about leaving in his fast car to somwhere, but
somehow she finds a job, two jobs actually, one where she saved a little money, and another that pays all their bills. where did that job come from, when they havent driven to the city yet?

an error in tense and in chronolgy will get u zapped every time, by a critiquer.

I can surmise what happens, shes speaking whatever comes out as to logically mapping out the events of the song.

Not saying she is wrong, but its not something a great song craftsman would do.
