Hard to anaylyze rap songs in context of craft, it;s not supposed to be anything but street talk with rhymes.
That's a pretty naive understanding of rap. A lot of the rap you hear on the radio is crap but not all of it is. I didnt say any of it was crap, I just said it;s not great songwriting. the bulk of it is a message and the sound of the word. When they rap about something important it's a powerful medium, but if you want to be a songwriter, thats not the thing to study.
