But I question the 2025 applicability of all this to trade negotiations.

Yet, I've no clue. You could tell me that Canada had produced ice that could be used as rocket fuel. I wouldn't know how to verify that.

I can only let whatever negotiations occur, and then sift through the biased 3rd hand media that is available to a random nobody such as myself.
