Richard, A history lesson. It was Lyndon Johnson that decided to dig into the Social Security Fund to pay for social programs. Today we have a 9 trillion dollar, and growing, national debt. Can't blame that even on Slick Willie.
If you want to expand the Government, (and debt) Hillary and or Obama is your candidate. If you want to try to reduce the size of the Government, McCain is your candidate.
Nothing is going to get done quickly. We have been 45 years getting into this mess and it may take 45 more to get out of it.
You can bet that nothing will get done about the debt until the wheels come off and the country goes into another depression.
