Pffthtttthsh... Townshend SUCKS! Springsteen Too!  and your still trying.... Yeah', she's sweet... BUT, I only have to be better than YOU!  And Elvis. no, you only have to be better than me in your dreams. Music is not a competition, if it were Taylor Swift woulda quit long time ago. I went to Catholic school I was easily the best guitarist in my school, at least while I was there. I was recruited to be in s music theory class, the teacher insisted, I hated it but it was 2 credits. I was recruited for school plays, masses, and music concerts. I earned my first pay as a musician 75 bucks for doing school play. God rest her, that musical director thought I'd be a star, my voice should be on records said she,and I was a solid guitar player.... What I found out, was not only was I not the greatest guitar player in the world, I wasn't even the best on my street. There were guys older than me who kicked my ass. Today I shoot for a song that somebody can relate to, and enjoy.... Which is not easy either, despite the false praise we get here
