The "Self Righteous" hold me to an impossible standard... Another look at that... Christians who make reasonably good embodiments of Christian principals hold YOU to a reasonable standard of decorum. No one expects perfection. YOU don't want to comply so YOU write YOUR own Christian doctrine to justify however YOU, feel like acting...to YOURSELF.
