When I was growing up, if I did something wrong and a neighbour saw it, I would likely get his boot in my arse, then he would tell my parents and they would give me another lickin', that would make me think twice about doing something wrong. Now you dare not touch someone else's child, you might be sued, tell the parents about what they did wrong and they will not believe it and tell you to mind your own business. What ever happened to the belief that it took a village to raise a child.

Spare the rod, spoil the child. If a kid knows no one can lay a hand on them, not even their parents, what do they have to fear?They no longer have any fear or respect for the law. We've created a generation of monsters. Kids, by the time they're 15, are looking down on their parents, physically and otherwise.If a parent can't get respect from their kids when they are very young, they ain't gonna get it ever. Kids have it too easy, every thing given to them by parents trying to buy their love and respect, that will never work. Parents should be parents, not their kids best friends. Show them love, through discipline when they are very young, they will love you for it, they'll know you care enough to discipline them. Tough love is required when loved ones do wrong.
