Big Jim Merrilees. If it is your opinion that something is silly or that someone is ignorant, you have a right to feel that way. But when you tell a person he is ignorant, or refer to an entire class of people in derogatory terms, you are being offensive and insulting - no matter how you slice it up. I don't know what makes you think you have a "right" to criticize anybody's beliefs. You don't. And even if you did, this is not the place to do it.
It's possible for a person to be so determined to be right that he can't admit fault. That's you. And your pretzel logic doesn't fool anybody. The best thing you can do for yourself is admit you are offensive and try to do something about it.
