I am kind of late commenting on this. To John: There are totally different relationships in the afterlife. You will be attached to entities in different ways than in this dimension. Folks who see loved ones at death have that experience to make the transition easier. Attachments to things/people of this dimension will be gone. We are in school now to learn. What we learn will be of value in the next existence, most of which is to balance selfishness and selflessness.
Big Jim: Forget religeon! Think of friendship. The ultimate Spirit wants to be friends with you. There is no ceremony, only friendship. You can be yourself with your friends. Sometimes you mess up the relationship and you have to fix it, but a friend is a friend through it all. You cannot see this friend, but if you act like They are there, they will react to you. You never know how good a thing is until you try it for a while, just you, no one else. May Scotland last forever!!!!
