they all have something in common...they all think that theirs is the one true faith and that everyone else is wrong...some even want to kill others who do not believe as they do if they cannot convert them first....now they cannot ALL be right......at the end of the day not one person has any real tangible evidence that what they believe in has any real credit or truth other than a belief or a blind faith....so even if I did believe in God then who do I support and who do I declare is talking nonsense?......given the poor track record of organised religion when it comes to hypocrisy, contradictions, moral and social issues, fairness and preserving life I vote none of the above.
When I see what evil has been done in the name of God and the barbaric practices of some religious folk I cringe....that is enough reason for me to be an atheist.
Man created God not the other way around...and it was man who wrote the bible to try to explain his own creation....now IMO it might have worked when people were uneducated and easily led but today more and more are questioning the ethics of religion and the existence of God.....I also find it hard to take in that people actually think they can second guess what God thinks, wants and what his plans are......He has never spoken to me....but if he did contact me then I would give him an ear bashing for the needless suffering he has caused to the planet he created.....that is IMHO inexcusable even for a God......and could have been very simply sorted out thousands if not billions of years ago.
