Everett Christianity is a religion.......so by def you are religious......despite whether you belong to an organised religion or not.

Mike that is all very well and interesting BUT has no relevance to the part about the disciples sharing.
Acts 4 32 "Now the full number of those who believed were of one heart and soul, and no one said that any of the things that belonged to him was his own, but they had everything in common" (that is not even socialism that is communism)
Proverbs 22:16 "He who oppresses the poor to make more for himself or who gives to the rich, will only come to poverty" (surely an attack on capitalism)
Proverbs 21 13 "Whoever closes his ear to the cry of the poor will himself call out and not be answered" (sounds like a good case for social welfare to me)
Acts 2. 42 And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. And all who believed were together and had all things in common. And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts. ( sounds like socialism/communism to me)
Interested to hear your take on those quotes from the Bible.....as a Christian I am sure you are now joining the ranks of socialists....or is Christianity just about being baptised...forget everything else.
