Having read and re read all the posts....I am even more confused.......why bother with any kind of religion especially as it creates division and confrontation between different faiths...why bother trying to be godlike and do unto others in the first place as there is either no punishment or reward for our behaviour here on earth.....especially as in the end we will ALL be saved regardless of what we have done or what we have believed in as long as we accept God once we finally come face to face with him.....none of that makes sense....I am confused as to what happens to folk who have mental illness and are not responsible for their actions...and babies who die without knowing anything much and how some people can claim that they know best and their way is the only way with absolutely no proof only a gut feeling or the fact that they have been indoctrinated into believing what they believe.....it is all so confusing and to my mind balderdash.....I have a major problem with ALL organised religion...I have an even bigger problem in believing in God rather than the big bang, evolution and a coincidence theory.....did God send the meteor that wiped out virtually all life forms so that the dinosaurs would die and mammals would evolve?....I find the whole idea of any supreme being a totally illogical and dare I say it preposterous proposition.....If such an entity of supreme intelligence did and does exist and he did in fact create us then how come he made so many schoolboy errors.....and how come he refuses to sort out the problems he created.
That said I do hope that more people try to act as God would want us to.... with more kindness and respect for each other.....some religious god believers might want to pay particular attention to this....as historically many religious people are the worst when it comes to acting in the way god would want.
