Hopefully I can get to the rest soon. I also thought it important to just keep the great discussions in general open here.

I have always kinda opened myself up here over the years as I don't know any better way of dragging you's into my world.
I know SO many folks don't get to commit there entire life to there music and often wonder what could and might happen if they did or do. Of course EVERYONE is different and crazy and unique stuff happens to different people everyday.

But much of the experiences are the same at the core.

So I wanted to share some of MY MANY personal rejection letters
with you here. In the beginning from 1984 to 1987 they came from direct word of mouth. Our band manager would come back from meetings and give us the news. We myself included of course were much much closer to great success when we were young and in a band, The Artist's....

I'm always mentioning that here and in many threads, because it's true, you get looked at differently when you are the band or artist and not the sole songwriter looking or a cut.
And a Band or Artist does NOT have it easy by any means, but they get a LOAD OF LEEWAY when it comes to songwriting. This is a FACT! I know this not only cause it's true but I seen it first hand.

So by 1990 I was removed from bands and had letters coming back instead of spoken messages. Neil who I often refer to was our band manger since I was 19 now still to this day drives me to the doctors to find me help. He is also a co-producer on projects with me and often the first person who hears any songs or ideas from me. He is a non musician, has a great ear and THINKS and talks just like A&R people do.

Imagine, and think back what were you doing musically in 1990?
Well I was getting knocked all over the place LOL... But I loved it.

Okay I got this letter back in 1990 and removed some of the personal info after scanning it to share it here. I did NOT fret but instead framed it and hung it on my studio wall as an inspiration and constant reminder to pursue harder and be better!!

I have always felt extremely fortunate and slightly unfortunate (I'll explain later) to have this BIG a door open to me for 28 years
