In response to your general cattle call for hit songs, please find attatched, my rendition of that well known industry song "Champion" by urban poet, Scott Campbell.

As Mr Campbells' work is truely uniqiue, I have added my own uniqueness to it's origional uniqueness, thus providing a truely doubly unique listening experience which no-one else on the planet is capable of performing.

Mr Campbells credentials are well known, but mine you may not be aware of. I have studied with the Wibbley Warbly Singers Institute of Wisconsen, the Crackling Conundrum Choir in Cleveland, and am currently lead soloist in the Shower Singers Ensemble in Saskatuan. ( just don't bend over to pick up the soap....ahem )

As this song is s well known, it needs no further introduction. I understand it was even covered by some fellow from NY who turned it into a young persons' "head banging" tune, of all things.

I listened to "Champion" and was very fond of it, the song just grew and grew on me from go. This is a very good write, and I enjoyed it's groove and feel. I don't place it with too many artists now that occupy the charts, and that's not because I think they are the greatest that's just business. But I do hear it coming from a band or a singer songwriter that is unique and perhaps more diverse than some of the most popular ones right now.

This could work very well with film and TV as well. The production was very solid. My biggest nits would be two things,
the vocal for one. While it had a style sense to it that I could appreciate it just seemed in-adequate for my taste.

Secondly - The change, the bridge? It needed to leave that range and get up there some. It was a great spot to make a a nice vocal/melody move and it just stayed too close to the vocal of the whole song. When a song is gonna give you an arrangement like this with one real "move" so to speak it has to count big time.

I'm gonna bet that the vocalist on this may have not had the range or comfort zone to apply that and take this approach.

I would suggest, re-working that section vocally and trying a few singers on this, so it can hit it's full potential.
I really LOVED the work and this song hit me just right...
Good message, great feel, modern production and catchy.

There is a place for this.
Please re-submit an updated version when you can.
