Thanks for listening Joice and pitching in.

I was and still remain proud, proud that I was able to adjust to still another style of music and songwriting and not have to force it. Proud that enough people thought it worthy of even doing it to this level and presenting it to the biggest person in the music business industry.

Timing is huge, when Neil was up at Arista in 84 he was going over in detail with Clive what needed to be done editing wise to a song of ours. Neil would go into there studio and make the edits.

If the situation was THAT personal and tight when this song was presented we stood a MUCH greater chance.

R&B and the market.

Yes while that would be the apparent market for me in this day & age of Hip Hop & Rap dominating the musical world BIG TIME even more than purer R&B, I do not feel I have my finger anywhere near the pulse now.
No matter how silly a song I hear on the radio is and how it couldn't have taken more than a a day or two to complete it soup to nuts, I still don't feel it or have the production means or mindset to adhere to it.

I don't think I'll ever re-visit this particular song but more wanted to show in sync with this thread about presenting a song.

Of the songs we reviewed here so many were completely out of market, so quality even made very little difference.

I like the little adjustments you made to this song lyrically, I probably would however not go with the love WAR direction smile

I did not forget your song pitch I actually wrote a whole big HUGE review and lost it before SAVING it to come back to. I hate when that happens frown

Thanks

Thanks!
Peace Mike
