Pete, I saw this coming a mile away. I think it will be inevitable to find some overlap between ideas. How often have you been given a chord progression in the same key, with 4-5 total chords...and had over a dozen people writing a melody for it? Although some will be very different, I think MOST will have similar elements. Couple that with the fact that we're all listening to each other's contributions...NOW you've got some similarities. I've never done something like this, but when I got on board, I decided to be prepared for similarities. It's not that there is any stealing going on, it's just a byproduct of the limitations in this very focused exercise. That said, wait till you hear my new song, "Gigantic"!
