But everything we write in the way of lyrics and melodies is our own intellectual property that is not negated by having written it in this context as I understand copyright.
That's an interesting point that brings up a question that I admittedly don't have the answer to... If the melody we write happened only because of the music Sub posted, is that melody really ours? Or is it partly Sub's by default because it would never have been written if not for his music? I honestly don't know the answer.
