no I don't want anyone to be a Pollyanna .... wink

What Sub is trying to do is find lyrics and a melody for his already copyrighted song....We have no rights to that song...but we do have the option to keep our melody and our words.... Also I think everyone understands Sub is perfectly capable of creating his own melody and lyrics. But this gives me the ability to write to a song I don't know so I have no preconcieved ideas in my head. I also get a whole different thought process that I can use on a different project.

What Sub is doing is standard...co writers walk in with pieces of songs or whole songs and arelooking for lyrics. Professionals give co write credit after the meeting of the minds....I have had it where I worked with someone on lyrics and some of the melody....unfortunately it didn't work out...I had to take all my toys and go home.... cry...and leave the awesome song behind...thats just part of writing music.

And yes we all are writing awesome hooks and melodys but, there is going to be one that fits in the pocket (as Sub says) and fits the groove, the vibe, synergy I guess, honestly, I know it when the hairs on my arm rise up...Its just there...
Sub will know what he is looking for, he will feel it.

I don't believe it is customary in the industry to use the same backing tracks on different songs....I could be wrong but I've never heard of that...I think that can get dicey.

So maybe you could look at this as writing some awesome lyrics and melody that may need another song...it works out, trust me.. grin

Ok Plain Pete lets get writing...we have till the 19th to find the hair raising melody and hook for this awesome tune.
